My name is Yana Skulevych. I am a freelance Russian mother tongue interpreter and translator based in Rome. Since 2007 I have been collaborating with a number of organizations, institutions and companies, both in Italy and abroad. I am also a lecturer in Russian language and linguistics at Rome University.
I started out as a linguist, graduating in Polish Philology at Warsaw University.
Subsequently, I pursued the study conference of interpreting techniques in the English<>Russian and Italian<>Russian language combinations, at Rome’s Gregorio VII University.
The constant cooperation with high profile customers has allowed me to acquire extensive specialist terminology and to deepen my knowledge in a large number of fields.
My life experience in four different countries has shaped my outlook and mindset, and has allowed me to develop into a mindful language and inter-cultural mediator. I have a firm understanding that the cultural differences in approach to business are strategic for your international collaboration.
